Enjoy Beaconsfield

Thanks to grants from the Local Area Forum and The Roland Callingham Foundation, and in collaboration with the Beaconsfield Cycle Paths Action Group and the Beaconsfield Historical Society, the Beaconsfield Society is pleased to bring you new ways to discover our beautiful market town through our “Enjoy Beaconsfield” project. In just five minutes’ walking or cycling from almost anywhere in Beaconsfield, you can reach little known or used open spaces, rural paths and open countryside. Despite the busy transport network around us it is still possible to reach relative tranquility and wonderful fields, woods and watering holes.

All weather laminated maps of the routes are available at Beaconsfield Library.

Enjoy! Do give us your feedback on your experiences, suggested route or direction improvements and above all share with friends, family and visitors alike.

Enjoy Beaconsfield Walks

Beaconsfield Library have supplies of “all weather” laminated maps showing all of the Enjoy Beaconsfield walks below. If you can’t get there to collect one or supplies have run out, you can download it here:

A4 map with all routes marked (note Finch Lane is a private road)

To create an A3 size Enjoy Beaconsfield Walks map, use the links below to 4 x A4 PDF files. Once printed, they can be stuck together to create an A3 size map by following the instructions below. These are low-res to keep the file size down.

Section A (note Finch Lane is a private road)
Section B
Section C
Section D

– Tape Section A and B together, joining on the long edge A/B
– Tape Section C and D together, joining on the long edge C/D
– Place the two A3 pages created back to back, so D is behind A and C behind B
– To check you have these the right way up, fold the left hand side of the map over and route 8 instructions should appear alongside the map route 8, similarly route 10
– Stick the A3 sections back to back

Enjoy Beaconsfield Cycles

Here are 6 circular cycle routes in and around Beaconsfield. These have been selected with safety in mind, highlighting busy road crossings in particular, but Enjoy Beaconsfield at your own risk. Always check your lights, brakes and tyres before you set off.

Thank you to the Beaconsfield Cycle Paths Action Group for their support with this project. You can find out more about them here: www.beaconsfield-cycle-paths.org.uk

Enjoy Beaconsfield Heritage

Find out more about Beaconsfield’s rich history and literary links with these four walks. These have been selected with safety in mind, highlighting busy road crossings in particular, but Enjoy Beaconsfield at your own risk.
